Big on adventure and low on tech…

The London Acorn School has a curriculum which is broad and also allows children to learn deeply. The School’s wonderful location in the heart of Morden Hall Park allows the children of South London to experience an education in the heart of the countryside whilst nestling in the capital. We use our location to our advantage and exploit the opportunities. It provides our pupils in terms of environmental education, and the education of adventure and risk taking. The creative curriculum allows our pupils to develop their creativity and imagination. Our academic curriculum both challenges and supports the children. Our environment is rich in creativity, challenge and excitement and we remain low tech a feature that is very much appreciated by our children and families. In a fast paced world TLAS pupils are always engaged and engrossed in the many opportunities offered to them. This can be in the woodwork room working on a project or actually in the River Wardle during a forest school session. No one seems to be asking for an ipad……!,

As our pupils progress into the middle years of the school, (year 6 upwards) we utilise technology to support and enhance learning. Ensuring that all our children are Senior school ready.
