Welcome from the TLAS Team
Dear TLAS Community,
Welcome back!
We hope you had a fun and restful break and are ready for the new half term.
It is going to be a very exciting term. We have our new Little Acorns group starting tomorrow (click here for more information), Visiting Speakers coming into our weekly assemblies, school events such as Pancake Day taking place tomorrow (please see Dates for your Diaries below), Parents’ Evenings, Open Classrooms, and our two week block of Swimming Lessons for all Juniors at the end of term. Wow!
With so much going on, it is important that you keep reading our weekly newsletter as well as checking your emails for important updates.
One update is that we are constantly reviewing our Behaviour Policy and Procedures. Please find our latest version here. All our policies are available on our school website here. It is important that we share any incident with you, no matter how minor, in order to be transparent about your child’s behaviour at school.
Another update is our new Feedback Fridays – an opportunity for parents to talk to the school (find out more below).
Finally, if you have moved address recently or changed your contact details, please make sure you inform the school office so that we have up-to-date information for your family.
Best wishes,
The TLAS Team

Feedback Fridays
Sarah Thorne, founder of The London Acorn School and Board Director of the charitable company to which our school belongs, is available on zoom between 4.30 and 6pm on Friday and very happy to speak with any parents who would like to talk about the future of the school, our current head recruitment drive or any other school related issue that is on your mind.
Pop her an email at sarah@thelondonacornschool.co.uk and she will send you a zoom chat invite within her Friday slot. If any topic is important to you, then Sarah is very happy to talk about it with you. She cannot guarantee instant solutions but is very open to listening.
Sometimes it feels better to start the weekend when you have finished the week by feeding back.
