Acorn Adventurers

We were delighted to see so many of you at our newly launched Acorn Adventurers session last term, which has proved a huge success.  It has been so lovely to see lots of familiar faces and lots of new ones, too.

With an ever-growing waiting list of families keen to join in with the adventures we are pleased to release our dates for Autumn Term 2021 (first half term).  If you are a new family please contact the School Office for a registration form to book your place. For those families already registered with Acorn Adventurers, please also contact the School Office to book your place for the new dates below.

The sessions will run on the following format:

Who:

Parents and carers with toddlers from aged one to three years old.

Where:

Woodland area within Morden Hall Park and a scrumptious snack and tea out in the Park or at The London Acorn School.

When:

Wednesday’s starting from September 8th – 20th October (7 Sessions) at 1.15pm and finishing at 3.00pm.

What do you need to bring:

We venture out in all weathers so please come prepared for this with full waterproofs, and a sense of adventure!

What kind of adventures will you and your little ones have:

All families will enjoy a relaxed atmosphere in the woods as together we make simple crafts from natural materials guided by an experienced Forest School Leader. Children will enjoy seasonal songs, finding Robin and friends, and free play such as digging and den building.

We will also be having picnics with warm fruit teas, organic snacks and a goodbye song.

Our sessions are a great opportunity for our community to:

· Connect with nature

· Meet other families

· Relax in the wonderful National Trust Morden Hall Park

· Enjoy snacks and warm drinks in the Park or at The London Acorn School

Session costs are £15 per session and booked half termly in advance (sibling discount available).

We look forward to welcoming you for some fun and adventure in the Park.

“Thank you for our Acorn Adventurers sessions this year; [my children] are always singing the songs and soup has become a welcome addition to our food menu. I have also really enjoyed the craft that we’ve done; it’s been a lovely reminder for me about how much I enjoy making things and that it is possible to share that with my two little ones. You have always been a friendly face that the children love seeing!”
